InnoDIGITAL helps research teams validate a software or digital concept, develop an early prototype and generate the evidence needed for licensing, transfer or venture creation.
Research-based applicants
Open to researchers, postdocs and eligible PhD candidates affiliated with UNIL or CHUV with a disclosed digital invention or software concept.
Digital solution
The project must focus on a software product, algorithmic tool, digital platform, app or data-driven service.
Clear product hypothesis
The project should test a clearly defined user, workflow or technical assumption during the six- month prototype period.
Execution readiness
The project must have a realistic development plan, access to the required expertise and institutional support.
Amount
Up to CHF 40,000 for development, technical subcontracting, UX design, testing, cloud resources, etc..
Duration
Up to one year to generate the evidence needed to determine whether the digital solution should advance.
Technical and product validation
The program focuses on usability, technical feasibility, workflow fit and early user validation through prototype testing.
Expected deliverables
A functional software prototype with documented test results, user feedback or performance evidence supporting the next decision.
Applications are accepted throughout the year and reviewed during two selection sessions, in spring and autumn.
